Jonathan Russell writes epic science fantasy about the relationships between species and the worlds that make them. The Seedfall trilogy is his debut series.

He believes the best speculative fiction asks questions that don’t have clean answers, builds worlds you want to live in even when they’re dangerous, and treats its characters with the kind of seriousness that earns the right to also treat them with wonder.

When he’s not writing, he’s probably thinking about writing. He lives with the persistent suspicion that the universe is more coherent than it looks and that the connections between things matter more than the things themselves. Evidence is scarce, he’s listening anyway.
